This past summer has been awesome for many many reasons but 2 in particular. 1st off, Brett moved back to ottawa which means GB is gonna be going harder than ever before and all our plans can be much more easily attainable! reason numero dos; Annica a good friend of mine who I havn’t seen in a few years who is also the founder of Purplejumpsuit apparel is coming to ottawa all the way form BC to hang with GB for a few days this week before we all head to to IF3.oh yes. shit will get real!
So lots of good things are happening !stay tuned(like anyone reads this shit anyways haha) for a few major edits dropping soon!

Merry Christmas and Happy new Year!
Getting excited for the holidays!! I’m gonna be headed to moonstone for 5 days to take a freestyle airbag coaching course. I haven’t decided if its going to be boring or fun yet. It could go either way, being that close to awesome park skiing (moonstone is absolutely sick) yet being unable to ski it do the the fact ill be pinned all day listening to someone go into depth about how to land on an airbag… Either way im sure it’ll be a fun trip! Once the course is over im flying out to Chicoutimi to spend the holidays with my family and shred my cousin’s beloved/epic b-yard setup!
Im gonna toss in a little hype in here too, we’ve got a Queen’s FSAE vid dropping within the next couple days!

so I’ve got a bunch of stuff to say, numero uno : about a month ago or so GB dropped another great collaboration edit between Purplejumpsuit Apparel and ourselves. Check it out down here.
As much as Brett said our heads aren’t into skiing yet (mine sure as hell is!!) and heres another little edit I threw together quickly of a few weekends ago!
weather wise here in ottawa its been kinda lame 
. we havn’t had snow yet, but there calling for 5cm overnight untill tomorrow evening and thankfully its been cold enough all the local hills have been blowing tons of snow! I’m even hearing that hey might open this weekend!!

It’s Snowing!!!
YAY! Thats right snow, in october! And not where you’d expect it, yep here in washington DC we have snow, which means we beat ottawa to first snow!! haha although it won’t last who cares! it’s snow.
Pat was also in a rail jam last night so we’re getting back into the groove, however our mindset isn’t on skiing right now but actually a different editing project we have coming soon!

Disappearing act
heyy!!
Gb has been off the grid for a while now, due to the fact that I’ve moved form Comox B.C where the skimming is abundant and the POW roams wild; to Ottawa Ontario! Actually Aylmer Quebec but I anex it into ottawa 
The move went decently smooth movers cracked my fiberglass canoe so im pretty pissed about that, but otherwise its all good! of course I didnt spend my entire summer moving, I was working in norhtern Quebec (Chicoutimi) for my uncles fiberglass company making money so I oculd buy a car. No skiiming where I was at but fortunately I had an epic workshop to make some new skims in. The downside was I didnt have much time to work on them.
Brett has aslo been busy, recently we lost touch with the Queens FSAE team but now were back in full swing and will hopefully be filming/ producing with them shortly!
Thats all for now more frequent updates to be seen form us as winter and skiing apporaches!

Update.
Skimboarding season is now over, we all got out a few times and a short video will follow, but now the mind set is 100% on skiing. We are stoked for snow and it can’t come soon enough! Pat is getting moved in and we are setting up for GB’s most productive ski season yet. Tons of stuff is going down, roadtrips, urban, backyard, pow, you name it. Keep your eyes peeled for GB-Media’s first movie trailer dropping this spring. We’ll keep you updated as we get closer and seasonal edits are to come aswell!

It might be spring but the season isn’t over!
Down in D.C It’s golf season but here in Ottawa winter is still killin it! Lookin outside my window right now, and im seeing beautiful white flakes falling down, although there covering up patches of grass and mud mixed with old, half washed away, dirty snow (which was all that was left, so you could say spring almost had us beat!). But the hills are stil looking good! Last Saturday at Edelweiss it was the annual “Geeks love Tweeks” competition, and it was a killer time!! Geeks love Tweeks is an event where nothing steezy is permitted and you wont get judged unless your wearing all out 80′s attire. This year they built a 2 jump line consisting of 2 mini jumps (like 5 foot gap) and really kicky! basically whoever can pull off the sickest “tweeks” (grabs, mule kicks, daffy’s, etc) takes the cake ! But thats only phase 1.

Phase 2 was all about an epic pond skim they built. it was suny out but a fairly strong headwind made things realllyyy chilly!regardless people get really wet and really wild. As Much fun as it was it ended a little short because someone ripped the liner and all the water leaked out only got to hit it once but whatever it was super fun!

So seasons over in DC, not unexpected, what is unexpected is the shitty weather they’ve been recieving up in Ottawa. I know its getting close to spring and everything, but they are getting tons of rain and high temperatures, almost seems that there won’t be any sunny park days but the rain will wash away everything instead.
In other news, got a new season update. this will be the last one of the season. We can’t give away too many shots, especially since we are lacking them. And we also have a vid from Pats urban session at the canal a while ago.
also please look over our website, its still under construction a bit. I also wanna know who reads this blog? we get random spikes in views every once in a while and we just don’t know who reads it? Hell yeahhh!!! I just finished a 15 page project for my sociology class, stayed up for two nights in a row to get er done! im pretty tired but its handed in and now, time for some fun!!!! im going up to quebec to see my family for reading week, im gonna be doing lots of skiing, partying and snowmobiling. pretty damn fired up right now. I hear my cousin has quite a few rails setup in his backyard so hopefully well get some sick rail slaying in! Between now and then though theres ontario provincials freestyle cup and Camp Fortune where i coach, so ill be busy with that all weekend maybe if im lucky ill get time to shred/film on the slope course.

Hey guys!
Its been a while ( like forever and this blog was actually dead) but in recent events i decided to bring it back especially with the crazy piece of news ive got for you!
Its mid January and this has nothing to do with skimming! actually its the total opposite. GB goes into Ski mode during the winter time and Brett is getting sweet chance to ski in his backyard, lucky for him because hes in Washington DC, and it rarely ever snows. Currently Brett is having a rail sesh and im im talking to him Via Skype! Gotta be a World first backyard rail sesh on Skype haha.

so heres the video update I promised, I still haven’t started on the video I said I would do. I’ve been busy working on a couple Photoshop projects and learning about Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects. I also got a couple more vids under my belt but it is really hard for me to get my mind into skimbording because of how exited I am about the upcoming ski season.

To answer some of the questions left unanswered about me in Brett’s last post i decided to Ive them to you myself for one, yeah my girlfriend was in town for my graduation ( aww yeahhh!!!) so I didn’t get to do much skimmin, she kept me a little too busy although we did end up getting out to Saratoga beach where i did in fact skim but for only 10 mins before i spotted my gf laying there in her bikini again…. anyways now im off to Hawaii!! where I intend to get some skimmin done! woo! should be dope, who knows how much ill actually be skimmin though haha. a lot of distractions over there. (pretty excited considering i leave for Hawaii in abouttt….3 hours!!)
so there ya go! hopefully I get some sick shots in Hawaii! If not then I get back on the 18 and I plan on going as much as I can!

In ottawa, selling a board
So I’m up in Ottawa now, not going back to DC for about 3 weeks! Sadly this means I won’t be skimming When I do get back to town around July 19 I have some stuff to take care of which would take away any chance of going to the beach for 2 more weeks. This means I’m gonna be out of skimming for a bit.
Some good news, we’re selling a board!!! I’ve got it in the rocker clamp right now and imma be puttin the paint job down when I get back to DC. This customer has requested a “Canadian Flag” design, got some scetches for it and it should turn out nice.
As for pat…. I donnt know if he’s gonna be skimmin for a bit (he’s got a lady in town) maybe he’ll give her a little demo so he’ll figure a way to skim, not my problem… As far as filming goes I think we’re out of luck with pat for a while. Now that he’s warmed up for the season he should be bringing the cam out a bit more!

Back from skimming and time for my annual trip to ottawa
Alright,
got back from skimmin yesterday and got some good footage. I’m now putting my focus on editing.
Day 1 got to the beach and we were on the Maryland side of the Island, it was really windy and the beach was pretty steep, anyways I didnt go skimming that day.
Day 2, went to the Virginia side of the Island it was much nicer, hotter outside, less windy and the beach layout was better, coming from the park entrance the road turned right and there was a rocky road about 1 mile long with parking spots on the side. (for all the vancouver islanders it was like goose spit). Went down to the very end of it and there were no people there, the beach kept going where all the fisherman were but you need an off road vehicle permit. Got some nice shots anyways should make for a good edit.
However on June, 18 I will be making my annual trip up to Ottawa and I’m gonna do some filming with the Queens FSAE Team. While I’m there I’ll do a lot of filming and editing both FSAE videos and my skimboarding edit.

Summer Break
So we got a little thing with the headers ^^ up there. It changes depending on whose filming. Brett or Pat, mines up there right now but the picture of me will probably change, When Pat is filming the picture of him (jumping) will be up. When no one is filming it will change to the normal/original header.
